Children learn language and pre-reading skills by listening to their parents and to other important adults in their lives. Talking with babies and sharing that special time together, builds strong brain connections that are key to later critical thinking and reading skills.

Make the Connection

Just having a conversation with your child exercises three different parts of the brain! The parts of the brain that are responsible for hearing language, understanding language, and speaking language are all separate -- having conversations with your child helps connect and develop these language centers.
